Wow, another year of trivia is over. It is sad, but happy. There is nothing like spending ours finding answers to questions that no one in their right mind should now. But, now one must wait 365 day to do it all again. The other day I was looking back and realized that I have done trivia weekend for 8 years now. That is crazy. Hopefully next year, my ninth, I will be able to get a group of people together that can invest their entire weekend so that we don't end up in the third to last place.
You can see that our headquarters is just like last year. It has been so sad these last two years because my setup for trivia weekend is just like I had dreamed it could be back in high school and I couldn't get anybody to come. I should nobody came.

Tim was there on Friday and Saturday night. He was a real Trivia Teamster. Be sure to ask him about his "One night in Bangkok."

The rest of the Friday crew is pictured here. John forged ahead during hours 1 and 2 when I was unavailable. He did pretty well considering it was he first Trivia Weekend experience. Pam stopped by for a bit too and helped.

Karli even stopped buy to harass the phone bank workers a bit!

Saturday night Tim, Justine, Clint, and Brain helped to hold down the fort. We were doing pretty well and slowly making our way back into 76th place! Saturday evening we were averaging right around 150 points around. If I had more people to play all weekend we would have been right up there in the thick of things.

Hopefully next year things will be better. I will be in grad school and there should be plenty of nerds willing to participate then!

One week until the marathon begins!

It is that time of year again. Time for Trivia Weekend! In a week people all across the country will be hunkering down in front of the computers, stocking up on various forms of stimulants, and raiding local libraries for the most obscure texts. Be sure to check here for updates through out Trivia: Around the World in 50 Hours.

Well as you can see the headquarters looks pretty good. You can also see that there aren't that many of us. At full strength we had 5 on sight. Then Jared L. did some satelite work for me and so did Adam F. Now I am going it alone and I am trying to decide I am going to get some sleep. I don't think I can make until people get up again. Just wish I could get enough people to come.
